Galerie Sechzig was established in 1989 in Feldkirch by the deceased lawyer, artist and gallery owner Gerold Hirn and his wife Sabine. Until the year 2014, more than 150 exhibitions with international, national as well as regional contemporary artists took place. Among them Günther Uecker, Maria Lassnig, Hermann Nitsch, Martha Jungwirth, Li Gang, Bruno Gironcoli, Antoni Tapies, Peter Kogler, Paul Giovanopoulos, Jürgen Partenheimer or FLATZ. In 2015, the cultural initiative „Dialogue and Art“ was launched by Sabine and Gerold Hirn. Since 2015, the gallery functioned as a platform for events of various kinds. Due to renovations, the exhibitions of the institution Kunst Palais Liechtenstein took place in the premises of Galerie Sechzig from April 2017 until the end of 2018. These exhibitions were collaborations with the curators Leonie Hirn and Calvin Mechora.

With the beginning of 2019, Galerie Sechzig was officially reopened by Leonie Hirn and Calvin Mechora. With a focus on contemporary art, we exhibit international, national as well as regional artists.
